Dr. Rick Newell is Chief Transformation Officer for CEP America. He is responsible for the development, implementation, and execution of strategies, programs, and technologies that enhance and transform enterprise-wide healthcare delivery. He also oversees innovation, acute psychiatry, neurology, telehealth, client alignment strategies, and complex-care management.
Dr. Newell is a physician executive who is board certified in clinical informatics and emergency medicine. He obtained his Master of Public Health in healthcare management from Harvard University and completed his emergency medicine residency training at Harbor/UCLA Medical Center. As a second-year medical student, he co-founded a free health clinic, which continues to serve the impoverished communities of Buffalo’s Eastside today. Dr. Newell was recognized for his work in this area with the Leonard Tow Humanism in Medicine Award.
