Dr. Lori Winston is CEP’s Director of Academic Affairs. She is responsible for helping to develop and execute short-term and long-term strategies to strengthen CEP America's residency programs and affiliated residency programs.

She also has experience in building new programs to ensure high-quality, long-term physician partner satisfaction and physician candidate pipelines. She helps to position CEP America as a thought leader in academic medicine.

Dr. Winston’s career is steeped in administrative academia. After completing her emergency medicine residency at Presence Resurrection Medical Center in Chicago, she stayed on as core faculty and as the Education Director.

Then an opportunity to start an emergency medicine residency came up at Kaweah Delta Medical Center in Visalia, Calif. Dr. Winston successfully launched that program and went on to start five more ACGME-accredited residencies in family medicine, psychiatry, general surgery, transitional year, and anesthesiology.

She is currently the Designated Institutional Official (DIO) over all graduate and undergraduate medical education at Kaweah Delta.
