Katherine Ahern, MIMS


Katherine Ahern, MIMS, holds a master’s degree in Information Management and Systems from the School of Information at UC Berkeley, where she was a recipient of the Chen Award in 2008 for her work demonstrating usability and data capture for physician clinical notes (that research is available at http://www.ischool.berkeley.edu/programs/masters/projects/2008/md-notes). Previous to her current position as a data analyst at MedAmerica, she was a research and development engineer at UC Berkeley, and a software developer for a company providing Medicaid reimbursement services for school-based health. She also holds a bachelor’s degree in philosophy with college and departmental honors from UC Santa Cruz
