Dr. Ruben serves as Director of CEP America’s Scribe Services and is an elected member of the Board of Directors. Dr. Ruben is an expert in adoption patterns of electronic healthcare records by physicians. This expertise supports the design, implementation, and management of CEP America’s scribe services, which he founded in 2008. His writing has appeared in Emergency Medicine publications and EM Blogs, and he has lectured both nationally and internationally. Dr. Ruben attended the University of Southern California, where he earned both his bachelor’s in psychobiology and his medical degree. He completed his residency in Emergency Medicine at Los Angeles County + USC Medical Center, going on to serve as a Clinical Instructor and the Director of the International Emergency Medicine fellowship program before moving to San Francisco. Dr. Ruben is a practicing emergency physician at Marin General Hospital.
