CEP America to Host Job Fair, Give Key Presentation and Lead Emergency Medicine Roundtable at ACEP 2016, October 16 - 18

Emeryville, Calif. (October 10, 2016) – CEP America, one of the leading multi-specialty clinical staffing solutions for hospital and health systems in the nation, will have a major presence at the 2016 American College of Emergency Physicians (ACEP) Scientific Assembly, held October 16-18 in Las Vegas.
Wes Curry, MD, FACEP, current CEO of CEP America, will lead a panel of physicians discussing “Intergenerational Transition of Democratic Groups” on Monday, October 17. The panel will review trends in partnership models, including the growing importance of diversity, managing retirement and the move toward multi-specialty practices, as seen in CEP America’s own transition to anesthesiology, psychiatric emergency medicine and critical care.
Gregg Miller, MD, FACEP, the newly appointed Chief Medical Officer for CEP America, will be presenting “CT Utilization and Choosing Wisely ” on Tuesday, October 18 at 12 noon for the ACEP Quality Improvement and Patient Safety (QIPS) section. The presentation highlights the latest ground rules for optimal CT scan utilization and provides guidance on how to decrease unnecessary orders for CT scans. The project is part of the Center for Medicare & Medicaid Innovation’s Transforming Clinical Practice Initiative to engage 24,000 emergency clinicians to move healthcare towards the triple aim of better health outcomes, more effective healthcare and lower costs.
CEP America will also sponsor the Society for Emergency Medicine PA (SEMPA) Roundtable on Sunday, October 16, from 4:30 – 5:30 p.m. Additional activities hosted or presented by CEP America include:
  • EMRA Resident Luncheons—Sunday through Tuesday, October 16-18, from noon-1:30 p.m.
  • EMRA Job and Fellowship Fair—Sunday, October 16, from 5:00-7:00 p.m.
  • 4th Annual Emergency Medicine Executive Diversity SummitMonday, October 17, from 5:30-6:30 p.m., at the House of Blues.
  • Cocktail Reception—Monday, October 17, from 6:30-10:00 p.m., at the House of Blues.
