Jay Kaplan, MD, Named President-elect of ACEP

CEP America wishes to congratulate Jay Kaplan, MD, on being named President-elect of the American College of Emergency Physicians’ (ACEP), where he also continues to serve on the ogranization's Board of Directors. 

Dr. Kaplan is CEP America’s Director of Service and Operational Excellence, providing customer service and operational consultations to our client facilities across the country. He has served on ACEP’s Board since 2009 and is also a Medical Director for the Studer Group. Dr. Kaplan obtained his Medical Degree from Harvard University and completed his residency and fellowship at the University of California, Davis – Sacramento Medical Center. 

ACEP’s 14-member Board of Directors is elected by the ACEP Council, with each member serving a three-year term. The group provides general management and direction to ACEP and serves as the organization’s policymaking body. Dr. Kapland was elected to serve a 1-year term and will assume ACEP's presidency at next year's meeting in Boston.
