Sherman Hospital in Elgin, Illinois, is located in the northwest suburbs of Chicago ( The new state-of-the-art facility features Heart & Vascular, Birthing, and Cancer centers, plus an energy-producing geothermal lake. The emergency department is a 24-hour Level II Trauma Center. The emergency staff includes board-certified physicians and certified trauma nurse specialists. The ED is also certified as an Emergency Department Approved for Pediatrics (EDAP).
