How do I apply at MedAmerica Billing Services, Inc.?
From the CEP America website, select medical billing in the drop down menu to view the MedAmerica Billing Services, Inc. (MBSI) current open positions. Select the job title to view the job description then apply at the bottom of the page to show your interest and send or build your resume. After completing this process an MBSI application will be sent to your e-mail address.
To apply for a non-specific position that may not be listed complete the MBSI application form on our website, save and then send as an attachment to HRMBSI-Modesto@medamerica.com

How will I know if my application has been reviewed?
You will receive an e-mail notification indicating your application has been received. If an email is not provided, a postcard will be sent informing applicants that we will hold the application for future openings that they may be qualified for if there are none available.
How often should I apply to job openings?
Generally, applications are kept in our active files for a minimum of 3 months, but possibly up to 6 months depending on hiring needs. Applications for Coding Specialists may be kept up to one year from date received.
What are the requirements to be considered for employment?
For billing and reimbursement positions we require a minimum of 45 wpm typing along with 10-key skill level of 7,000 kph. A typing test will be given at the beginning of the interview process for qualified applicants.
Qualified Coding Specialists must have previous coding experience, clinical experience or have completed courses in medical terminology, anatomy, ICD-9 coding and have an overall familiarity with CPT coding.
Do I need to complete an application for each position I want to be considered for?
There is no need to complete more than one application every 3-6 months. The recruiters will review each application and match previous work experience and education to current and possible future openings. Frequent follow up is not necessary, we will call qualified applicants for a phone interview when we are hiring for your area of specialty!
What should I keep in mind when preparing for an interview?
This is your time to shine so you may want to prepare by completing a mock interview with a friend, previous supervisor, or in a mirror. Be prepared to sell your skills and provide an example of why you are the best candidate for the position. Your MBSI interview could be with an HR representative, hiring manager, or a panel of managers.
Do you have a training program for new hires?
Yes, we have a formalized 3-week classroom style training program for all new Billing Specialists, as well as a 6-week training program for Reimbursement Specialists and a 6-week training program for Coding Specialists. We take pride in our training programs and feel that it is the best way to provide the tools for success at MBSI.
