Theo Koury, MD
Dr. Koury is President of CEP America. Before being appointed President in 2017, Dr. Koury spent the previous four years serving as CEP America’s Chief Operating Officer. Since joining the company in 1997, he has also been in the role of Medical Director, Regional Director, Vice President, and a member of the CEP America Board of Directors. He is a practicing emergency physician at John Muir Medical Center in Walnut Creek, Ca.

Dr. Koury attended the University of Southern California, where he obtained his bachelor's in Biology, and earned his medical degree at the Eastern Virginia Medical School in Norfolk, Va. He completed his residency in Emergency Medicine at the Eastern Virginia Graduate School of Medicine in Norfolk, Va., where he served as Chief Resident and received the John P. McDade Award for Research in Emergency Medical Care.
