Wesley A. Curry, MD
Chief Executive Officer/President
Dr. Curry is the Chief Executive Officer of CEP America. He is responsible for the operational and financial performance of the Partnership, as well as achieving the strategic goals and vision of the company. He joined CEP America in 1982, was elected to the Board of Directors in 1992, and served as Chairman of the Board until the year 2000.
Since becoming CEO in 1995, Dr. Curry has overseen the growth of CEP America from 35 to almost 200 unique physician practices in over 100 hospitals and more than 30 health systems. He has been a visionary for the organization, embracing information technology as a management tool, and the acute care continuum organizational strategy to deliver value-based patient care throughout the multi-state, multi-specialty Partnership that exists today. Through his tireless work, CEP America has evolved from a regional emergency medicine physician group to a national equitably owned partnership of physicians that has become the largest democratic group practice in the nation.
In addition to his role as CEO, Dr. Curry works as a staff physician at the Pomona Valley Hospital Medical Center emergency department in Pomona, CA, where he has practiced since 1980. He is a member of the California Medical Association and the California Chapter of the American College of Emergency Physicians, where he served as president from 1989 to 1990. Originally from Dallas, Texas, Dr. Curry received his undergraduate degree from Stanford University in Palo Alto, CA. He received his medical degree from Harvard University Medical School in Boston, MA, and completed his internship and residency in internal medicine at the University of California San Francisco Hospital and Medical Center.
